The Galway Callcard trial commenced in the year 1989, which used the Landis & Gyr optical card system. Read more about the trial Callcards here.
The Galway trial was very short lived. After the trial any remaining Callcards were sold off via the Callcard Collectors Club. As a result used Galway trial cards are rarer than mint ones. A used Landis & Gyr CallCard will show a dark black mark visible on the small white tracking strip.
